I'd love to see a decent true-to-book version of HG Wells' War Of The Worlds. Speilberg's modern take was OK, but it would be brilliant to see it set in Victorian England.

The Notebook - both were fantastic

I would love to see Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta books as movies - and they are making them, but with Angelina Jolie, which is giving me an ick factor
