I have nice cotton sheets (Miss Charismatic made me stop using my racing car ones 
) and I like them fresh off the washing line when they still smell like sunshine 
. I tend to be a bit functional though in that I don't have loads of cushions I don't need.

So you can't snuggle down then and talk to each other under the covers? You are missing out on a rather nice experience. Especially if you are laying cocooned between soft sheets and comfy pillows which you can chuck on the floor when you need to go to sleep.

I confess to taking my fav. sheets with me when travelling- I also confess to having blagged a few gorgeous snugglesheets from hotels here and there

Is their linen good then, I'm thinking of buying a new bed, and also some linen. It will have to be that really soft, satiny cotton. And where can you buy a good bed, something roomy and well sprung?

Squirty, the bed these days is not so important. It is all in the mattress. I dropped 6000Dhs on a King Koil latex mattress and it was worth every penny.
