Barcelona *-* Man City
You probably won't hear about this anywhere else but, while Man Utd were losing 1-0 at mighty Burnley last night, City (without Robinho and Adebayor) were beating Barcelona at the Neu Camp in front of 94,000 fans. Although it was only a friendly, there was a trophy involved. The same event two years back saw Barcelona thrash Bayern Munich 5-0 apparently. The wind of change is beginning to blow across Manchester...

Re: Barcelona 0-1 Man City
Must admit I saw the highlights of the Burnley game and had to laugh! The Scummers managed to miss a penalty and Robbie Blakes goal was superb!
Thing is...............we played Burnley in a pre-season three weeks ago, they had a full strength squad out and Leeds won and played them off the park!
No doubt Fergie will blame the grass being too long, crowd was too noisy, wrong colour shirts or an arduous long trip by coach to Turf Moor after this latest setback!
He can always go out and buy another defender, striker and keeper and plunge the red shite deeper into debt.............here's hoping!
MOT !!!

Re: Barcelona 0-1 Man City
Unless im getting confused with the 47 yrd old Giggs, who you have never had a good word to say about, or Anderson, the attacking midfielder who never scores (?), or the little ginger geezer, who is way past it, or the back flippin' Nani or perhaps the multi tasking defender, O'Shea ???
Anyway, its serves you lot right, for cashing in on your best player, and being too fcking tight not to stump up the cash for your best forward Tevez, and keeping hold of that lazy Bulgarian twat Berbatov instead

Fergie's love child has been our best midfielder recently but wasnt playing last night. Park was utter shite and Anderson wasnt much better. Fergie thought it was going to be easy and got the team wrong.
still think we'll see another forward arrive before the transfer deadline.
and yes the Burnley kit is a lot better than the hammers retro 80's kit

Re: Barcelona *-* Man City
bit late I know now...but there's a bunch of folk on different time zones that might have recorded the game for later viewing, so it's one thing discussing the score in the thread, but don't put spoilers in the title which are harder for people to avoid if they were trying.
