That's daft as the mark up on soft drinks in massive. Back in the days when I worked in pubs, the LL liked soft drink sales for that reason.

Post mix drinks are the biggest profit maker in a bar.

We used to pay 17 quid for a box that makes 250 litres. Charge a highball (with ice) out at say 1 pound and the profits are obscene!

mark up is massive but i'd still bet the total profit on a non alcohol drinker is less than a drinker on any given night.

the more soft drinks you drink the less thirsty you feel, i've never suffered from that with booze unfortunately!

Probably right. When I am driving I have less soft drinks than I would pints and leave a lot earlier that's for sure!
