Well, Kristina Kirchner did place adverts all over the British press, so I suspect this was a simple tit for tat (pun intended).

You were RAF, of course you were on the peripheries ;-)..

Pedantic, but Operation Corporate was the Falklands Conflict..it was never ever a war. Can't remember the political reason for that, but there was certainly some reason.

Scamp, I've been there, my uncle fought on 2 Sisters, my best friends dad died on 2 sisters, I served with countless (now crusty old bastards) who served and some were actually on ships that were sunk..to actually stand on Darwin and see the route that the stupid arse H-Jones took to take a bullet up his hoop is pretty amazing (the stupidity).

Its actually a beautiful place

And gave rise to the additional phrase after 'The cheque is in the post, 'I promise I won't come in your mouth', 'We're right behind you H'.

Because Britain and Argentine were not at war with each other, but were in conflict over rule of The Falkland Islands. As I understand it.

And it meant my life insurance still covered me

An incredible feat aerial of logistics! Very little physical damage done to the runway, but huge point made...

I am continually surprised that so many people do not understand that the Empire is over. So many still have the mindset of 1897.

Surprising isn't it, given that you're the only one old enough to remember such a date

Consider the source..........but does the Argentinian President really think she can fly round the world on a British owned plane whilst spouting complete sh*te once again?

I asked my son for a newspaper and he told me that was so old fashioned and passed me a tablet. Still managed to swat that fly with it
