Hi, as the title says

We have decided that we really don't need to have any home help going forward so today we gave our maid 30 days notice.

She is Sri-Lankan and has been totally excellent and great with our daughter. Also has been great when looking after our in laws dogs etc.

We had a very specific reason for hiring a maid and always planned to review our circumstances healthwise after a couple of years.

If a domestic worker is terminated before their annual contract ends, is there an automatic annual ban? Would be interested to know as I have heard it is the case.

Not sure. I am on a JAFZA visa and we have found another employer who is on a Dubai municipality visa, so I am meeting with my PRO in the next few days to find out what needs to be done.

isn't the point that her visa isn't a freeone and she has a contract posted with the MOL. It is the MOL that grants labour bans, not the MOI (who issue the visas).
