I seriously cannot belive that anyone thinks Dan Brown is a good writer! His style is appalling. Da Vinci Code (although totally nicked from other books) and Angels & demons were just about readable, but the other two are utter shite.

GA - there is a reason why we get loads for the booksales - apart from the fact that loads were sold - no one rates them enough to keep or re-read them.

On the other hand Sebastian Faulks is a great writer and Birdsong is a fantastic book.

I only read the Da Vinci code and Angels and Demons, to be honest with you that was enough. They still sell though :)

they are trashy and easy to read, perfect if you're on an aeroplane or whatever. I enjoyed them, even though they were shite.

yeah...by people who think they should because 'everybody' has read them...as if that means anything...
