Can anyone recommend somewhere nice to take my parents tomorrow for dinner in AD. Somewhere on a terrace would be good with a view.

hiltonia or havana cafe but really not anything really nice nearby you cant see anything really anyway too far away

Will take him to see the boats then move on. So anything nice on a terrace with a view would be a great recommendation.

Is the (dry) revolving restaurant at Marina Mall still open? I never went but am told it's very nice.

yeh i was going to add that one too, there is the revolving restaurant on top and a cafe underneath, but you dont see too much

Actually, last time we were there, it was Valentine's Day. Every table had heart-shaped balloons tied to the chairs and heart candles and confetti everywhere. The couple next to us were two guys who, judging by their conversation, were just there for a business meeting. Very awkward in the surroundings

I went again to Hanoi, opposite NBAD on Khalifa Street, the other evening. Cheap and cheerful but top rate for what it is.

Sadly due to work issue's and having too many projects on going i had to postpone which has made me Mr popular!!!!

Hanoi doesn't fit into the "somewhere nice to take your parents/inlaws" category. It averages out at about AED 50-60 per head, and is great value.

Ah so a little bit like Ravi's honest food no thrills!!!! Hmmm nah wont go down well at all i should think.

Taking them to Al Ain on Saturday. To get there minds off Abu Dhabi let down. Will take them to the summit of Jebel Hafeet. Sorry for Spelling!

Al Fanar is good for visitors, great view of the city and the brunch is good value with no messing around
