Whitby was on telly last night - the Goth capital of the world! (Who knew?) The four Goths who appeared in the program were really quite funny. They looked like something out of a horror movie, but were talking about how they had moved to Whitby for its old-fashioned values and respect for each other, great place to raise kids, etc. A lesson in first appearances, etc. When Richard Wilson got stuck on a steep hill (he only learned to drive stick-shift recently), he switched places with one of the Goth guys who managed to get the old Morris Traveller going again.

Whitby is the Goth capital as it's where Bram Stoker got the inspiration for Dracula and it's actually written in to the book.

Am such a techno phobe I have no idea if this is going to work! If it does, this will show another picture of the UK - a rather less scenic but more day to day one!!! It's my friends local ASDA from my recent trip home
In my current state of mind, even this makes me homesick

We used to go camping with the kids to Whitby, well over 20 years ago mind you.Hasnt changed much.Went to Robin Hood Bay last year as sil has a cottage there that she lent us,bil is an anesthetist, bloody hell felt like he'd put me under a general it was so damned quiet, and hilly.
Poor mil had probs walking up to the shop.very pretty though. We lived between Sheffield and Worksop before moving over here.(not moving back to Yorkshire moving to Scottish Highlands where iam from.

2 faults with this pic. Not enough clotted cream and the jam should be on top
