Great photos. I am returning for 4 weeks next month and will be in Whitby for most of them! Can't wait -- still not sure if I'll want to come back.

Hey Katu, I see you're in Oxford. That pic wasn'r taken on the Wormsley estate (Bucks) by any chance was it?

Not the Wormsley estate, and not Oxford either.... a wood which I do not know the name of near a village called Harpsden.

Oh I see. Pretty cool to get some wild deer. My sister lives on the Wormsley estate.

Have to mention that deer wander about this part of Victoria, BC. Sometimes right by my window.

I never said living here was bad,

Bev :)

Yes - Chatsworth is near Chesterfield. I used to drive through the park several times a week on my way to work in Sheffield from Matlock. What a treat! :)

Whitby was on telly last night - the Goth capital of the world! (Who knew?) The four Goths who appeared in the program were really quite funny. They looked like something out of a horror movie, but were talking about how they had moved to Whitby for its old-fashioned values and respect for each other, great place to raise kids, etc. A lesson in first appearances, etc. When Richard Wilson got stuck on a steep hill (he only learned to drive stick-shift recently), he switched places with one of the Goth guys who managed to get the old Morris Traveller going again.

Web site for the program series (Britain's Best Drives): http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00hvbdk - one day left to watch last night's programme on the Yorkshire Moors!
