New pics from the newly returned

There seems to be a few people just returned to the UK and with the talk of the weather turning better I thought it might be a good idea to get a new 'beautiful UK' pic thread going as to provide some motivation and inspiration for those of us still waiting to get home. I'll kick off with a few:

Mum and Mrs Tr1boy at Stone Henge

My sister's house decorated with icing sugar

Bev you need to host it on a site. So copy the pic to your desktop then upload using a site such as: http://www.tinypic.com/ then copy the tags that say 'message board' here. (you may need to resize the pic first.

are the pics on your computer hard drive? If so, when you're composing a post look for "Manage attachments" below the edit window, then "Browse", then "Upload"

Ooh I didn't know that, let me try it out. Hey it works, I wondered how people were getting the thumbnail thingy. Here's one of Wells Cathedral. :D

Hey, I had one of Wells Cathedral!

Thanks for the tip, Elfman. Here we go. I hope. First Dawlish, then Poole, then a stone bridge on Dartmoor.

Hey Katu, I see you're in Oxford. That pic wasn'r taken on the Wormsley estate (Bucks) by any chance was it?

Not the Wormsley estate, and not Oxford either.... a wood which I do not know the name of near a village called Harpsden.

Have to mention that deer wander about this part of Victoria, BC. Sometimes right by my window.

I never said living here was bad,

Bev :)

Yes - Chatsworth is near Chesterfield. I used to drive through the park several times a week on my way to work in Sheffield from Matlock. What a treat! :)

Whitby was on telly last night - the Goth capital of the world! (Who knew?) The four Goths who appeared in the program were really quite funny. They looked like something out of a horror movie, but were talking about how they had moved to Whitby for its old-fashioned values and respect for each other, great place to raise kids, etc. A lesson in first appearances, etc. When Richard Wilson got stuck on a steep hill (he only learned to drive stick-shift recently), he switched places with one of the Goth guys who managed to get the old Morris Traveller going again.

Web site for the program series (Britain's Best Drives): http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00hvbdk - one day left to watch last night's programme on the Yorkshire Moors!

Yep, the Goths might look a bit scary, but they are the most polite, courteous tourists when visiting the town.

Whitby is the Goth capital as it's where Bram Stoker got the inspiration for Dracula and it's actually written in to the book.
