'Unusual' is a good word to describe where i am. I don't really want to store anything, erase is also a good word.;)

I can see you're having a bad day Nu_Shooz. Are you planning to move? If so, when?

For us, staying in the UK really isnt an option. I have just re trained as a geologist. If i stay in the UK i would have to work in something like environmental consulting - a job i dont want to do. I want to work in mining / exploration, so this means living somewhere that has a mining industry. If Oz doesnt work out, and we are aware it may not, then returning to the UK isnt an option. We would instead have to look at places such as Canada, (which we did consider) or maybe Africa

Are you married with kids?

I know lots of people who work in the mines. Infact they work there because they need to. They need the money to survive, but hardly see their wife and kids. Strange life-style.

Mines aren't for me, I'll stick to my office job, tossing it off on BE most of the day!!

Mining isn't your only option for geology, anywhere with oil and gas exploration/production needs:
exploration geologists, production geologists, geotechnical engineer, hydrogeology, mud logging etc etc.
In the UK the main places would be London and Aberdeen where BP, Shell etc have headquarters, the French company Total have their headquarters in Paris, Calgary in Canada is the oil town there, places like Qatar, Dubai, Baku, South America, North America and so on. The world's your oyster

I can't seem to karma people who I've karma'd before, it says I have to spread some rep before karma'ing the same person again!!
Anyway, for the person that sent me the Karma message my answer is...
Yes, but only because I spilled some cheesecake on it
