Is this not one of most banal TV shows possible? Watching other people watch and react to the week's television. I saw one of the first episodes and assumed it would simply die a quick and natural death, but apparently it is quite popular. What is the fascination?

I don't understand it's appeal either. I've watched it once and didn't 'get it'

Something wrong with us then
We watched a few episodes and I nearly wet myself at the comments! Especially the posh couple with their copious amounts of booze, the gay couple and the two black girls in London with their large box of chocolates! I agree with Dunrovin it is addictive. Think we must look for some more this winter! Beats Canadian/USA TV programs any day!

I saw most of an episode while we were over the other week. It was OK, funny enough but I thought the new Dave Gorman show was better, personally.
There's a version of it coming to the US now, saw an ad the other day.

It shows how central television has become to life in these Offshore Islands. Sick.
