Just resurrecting this post as I am trying to track him down. I volunteered at the same school in Nassau in which he taught so have contacted a few of my ex-teacher friends. So far, no luck, but I will update if I find out anything.

He reportedly posted briefly on UK-Yankee earlier this year, saying that he no longer posted on forums because of injuries he had suffered.

Yes, very sad. Hope his injuries only make typing difficult and that he is enjoying life online other than that.

Actually, he is still a bit active on the UK Yankee forum so I have sent him a message. I will let you know the outcome. Good to hear he is alive and fairly well!

Do hope he responds to you and that perhaps he will just drop in to BE for a spot of tea and a chat. He was a welcome poster who lifted spirits and we looked forward to exchanging ideas with him.
Please give him out best and let him know that we have been thinking of him.

Agreed on all points! I never recall anyone having a bad word to say about him, nor that he ever gave anyone a reason to do so.

Well, I have heard from him! He has recovered fairly well from his accident and is working hard but he does have some lasting effects from it. I have let him know that, when he retires and has more time, he will be very welcome on BE again.

So sorry to hear this....
