Do not be so negative. It is a well-irrigated and fruitful land. Most of the Syrian have blossomed here. It is green because God waters it every day.

Having a look at the Isle of Luing, south of Oban next month. My minder has worked out an intricate network of connecting buses. - and a ferry or tewo.

What's the plan on Luing? Haven't heard of it before. Ferry? Do you keep track of the number of islands you've visited?

I have no plan - so nothing can go wrong. To Seil island by road using "The Bridge over The Atlantic". Then a small ferry from Cuan Ferry to The Isle of Luing. The ilandd is known for its own breed of cattle - Luing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luing_cattle

also known as "The Slate islands" although the slate quarries are long since closed. Tourism is the business now and many of the crofts are weekend houses or holiday homes.

Travels for 2019 now over, except for a few trips to Glasgow. Planning 2020. Oban with some boat trips to Coll, Colonsay and Tiree. Fingal's Cave on Staffa. The Corryvreckan (a miust for all Orwell fans)
