Default Running for Help for Heroes in the Republic of Ireland?

I apologise in advance for my lack of understanding on this but just want to make sure i'm not going to do something that could potential upset people. I have a race at the end of this year on the southern coast of Ireland, I will be raising sponsorship for my chosen charity, Help for Heroes, the british military charity. My question is if I was to wear a Help for Heroes vest, could this cause any offence in the Republic of Ireland?

Again, apologies for my ignorance on the subject but the last thing i want to do is offend anybody

Thanks in advance

You'll more than likely offend certain dinosaur republican types such as the people who recently attended the Ruairi OBradaigh funeral here in Roscommon.

If it doesn't quite work out in ROI, it might be a good idea to initiate plan B and give it a try in Kabul, Afghanistan......Just a thought.

Former IRA hunger striker turned property developer, Tom McFeely is a Hero, though not many residents of Priory Hall would agree.

It's a damn shame there aren't a few more TDs, MPs around like her, much of this needed to be said.
