In the tradition of French gallantry I shall not reply but I do wonder
if 'le petit Nicolas', who tonight compared his love of France with the
love of one's nearest and dearest, will be more successful with his love
for the country than he has been with that of his rather absent wife.

Where did you find such a lousy photo? Segolene looked a lot better on
TV than that.

Just as off-topic as the whole thread, but does anyone know how to produce
diacriticals on a British keyboard when using OE? Calling the poor woman
"Segolene" makes her sound like a brand of piles cream!

If you've got MS Word, put "diacrtical marks" into "Help" and you'll
get the answers you're looking for.

Alternatively (also if you're using Windows) you can do Start - All
Programmes - Accessories - System Tools - Character Map. You can then
copy and paste an or an or whatever from the list.

Hope this helps.

For my own benefit, I painstakingly made my own list from the
Character Map codes. They'll work in several applications, including
here, i.e.

Alt + 0252 (on the little numerical keypad) =
Alt + 0233 =
Alt + 0241 =

and so on.

Thanks! Looks like the easiest way would be to type the message in Word and
then cut'n'paste.
