Why generalize and why take things so seriously?

You're of course right - we got a little carried away there - in a thread started by
a state-less troll![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I have nothing against Norwegians - except for those that have something
against us...

Hehe ... Spot the troll ...
These ar ethe type of posts that get the longest threads. I am planning to travel
and this is one of the few threads I jumped into for hints.
As a Greek Australian, I shall say a few, aving seena few countries. Australia is
a modern country much like any European only better
I klnow I am biased, but
Australia has no "bagadge".
As for women rights, Egypt ... hmm, thing femle circomsision and then talk.
Australia is one of the most relaxed, countries. It is modern, nothing much to
hide. Imperfect yes. As a final note, last night I went to Leichart in a classic
cafe you would see in Florence only. Had an increadble hot chocolate and a coffee
I couldn't hope to pronounce. Watched a great game (Italy Vs Croatia) of soccer
in a friendly Italian atmosphere. No violence, but alot of passion. At the end of
the game, Italy lost but It was a great game.
It was my little bit of Italy 5 minutes from my house. Tomorow, I think I will
travel a little further, say 10-15 minutes. I will go to the Spanish club and
watch the world cup there. Even closer is Petersham, with the Portuguese and
Dulwich park. I didn't think to go watch the best game so far agaist the USA. I
regret that... I could go in the city or bondi and watch England with back
packers but that can get a bit bumpy
Then there is The German club ...
Oh well, it's winter but the Sun is out and the parks are full ... I got work to
do, but I will still be in Australia tomorow ...

He is from Norway. The targets of his post are us Swedes. It only proves that 100
years of independence and 50 percent larger GDP per capita is not enough to get rid
of the inferiority complex.

One important group I left out were Australians. Many boast about spreading all kinds
of sexually transmitted diseases when they return home. They have great fun in bars
getting drunk telling people this and every ther seems to find it funny. I heard this
many times during my two year in NSW and Queensland.

Bit of a bummer, that. Everyone else is out in the parks and you have to stay in and
work. Tim![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I'm not saying that all do that, but some certainly do.
