That yakburger is an acquired taste, though.

on 08 Nov 2004 in alt.atheism, towelie dropped trou, farted, whirled,

Does the fact that Kerry conceded the election on the morning of the 3rd
have anything to do with it?

On Tue 09 Nov 2004 09:06:00a, Uncle Dollar Bill
<[email protected]> kicked back with a beer, ruminated at
length, fell asleep, woke up, lit up a joint, then fell asleep again
after thoughtfully blurting out:

It's not impossible in any case, is it? I don't know about you guys, but I
get the distinct impression that this country is on the verge of tearing
itself apart. Every year the religious right gets louder and it takes more
pressure to keep our freedoms secure. They got Dubya; then they got a
majority in Congress and the state governorships; soon they'll have a
majority in the Supreme Court; their numbers seem to be increasing, not
decreasing.

The rest of us will never willingly give up our freedoms. The religious
right, it seems, will never get out of the Stone Age and learn that
sometimes, other people just won't be like you no matter how badly you hurt
them. Is it really impossible for a revolution to happen, even now? It
may not ever go that far, but we're certainly heading in that general
direction.

It is hard to see how they could, since the Constitution clearly
says that the vote of the Electoral College chooses the
President. How the electors are to be chosen is up to the states,
and there is NO federal requirement (and few if any requirements
imposed by the states) that says how an elector MUST vote.
There have been cases of "faithless electors" (sorry, but that's the
term for them) casting votes which were contrary to what was
expected of them. No one has ever been prosecuted for doing
this.

Of course, it is unlikely in the extreme that this would happen in
the current case.

Also very unlikely.

Now, how about getting this crap out of rec.travel.air, OK?
