Hi fokes,
I,m thinking about travling around england & europe next year (06)
by camper/motorhome. Has any one out there done it recentley?
What are the cops & other officials like ? What are the camp grounds
and there owners like? Any general comments or tips would be great!
thanks for the help!

Can't comment for mainland Europe, but you should be very welcome in
England.
There are plenty of campsites in areas like the Peak District, Lake
District, East Anglia or Cornwall. The same applies to Scotland and
Wales.
The campsite owners are friendly in my experience, though not so sure
about the Police. They're very harsh about the most minor speed
offences in England these days and in the largest cities (which you're
less likely to be visiting if you're camping) the traffic wardens are
particularly harsh. In rural areas, you'll be fine.
Haven't been to a vast amount of campsites, but you could always try
this site:

Hope this helps,
James.
