Very little, other than trying to get a feel for the size of the
problem.

Yes, really kinky that was. <puzzled frown>

One of my favourite pictures from my trip is a guy
sunbaking, lying on a towel at a beach somewhere near
Irvine.

The towel was beside his car, on the bitumen in the carpark,
not on the sand on the beach. Apparently the bitumen soaked
up the warmth from the sun and the sand was too cold in late
June:-)

In Spain many beaches away from houses are informally naturist,
in some cases there are even signs. But "the norm" no.

*used* to be conservative about bathing nudity. Spanish women are
now as likely to be topless or nude on a non town or hotel beach
as anybody else. French ditto.

I can sunbathe on s Spanish beach nude, I cannot go to the
supermarket nude without causing a fuss. Although TV nudity and
sex are pretty relaxed areas.

Damn!

They don't?

And I was just starting to think this next trip was going to
be more interesting than my first one.

Oh, indeed, and it's not too hard to figure out where if you're looking
for them. In Sitges for example, the more remote beaches to the south
include some nude ones, but I'd probably get arrested if I dropped my
trunks on the main beaches in Sitges, and I'm pretty sure a topless
woman browsing the boutiques a few hundred yards from the beach would
get more than the odd glance also!

Isn't this a matter of lack of nudity in US TV? Never seen it
myself.

Yeah, but in other places women can get fined if they remove their tops,
something which is not the case in northern Europe as far as I know.

In Florida even 2 or 3 year old girls must wear tops, or else. And a law
was proposed specifying what percentage of a women's body must be
covered by cloth. I almost voluntered to be a an inspector. I then moved
back to Europe, and don't know what happened to that silly law.

From experience in the various places I lived at in the US at different
times I got the impression that there was a noticeable attitude change
after Ronnie was elected.

You got a job measuring the height of hem lines on women wanting to
enter St Peters?

It's not unheard of. It happens, but if there is an area set aside for
nudity, then people really do use that. If there's not special area, then
it really wouldn't surprise me to see a few people nude around a busy lake.
In fact, thinking about it, I would be more surprised to find none at all.

Certainly is. You have't missed anything. it has its moments but they're
generally not worth sitting through the rest of it for.

Here in Finland we don't have official date, but usually the summer is first
thursday in July around noon.
