ACK. But when he mentioned "Rough Guide or LP" it was clear to me, that he
is referring to travel-books. And I think LP is one of the most known and
travel-books on the market.

is referring to travel-books. And I think LP is one of the most known and

I didn't- LP means something quite different to me. I could have figured
it out I suppose, but why should the reader have to? The rest of the
language contributed to me know quite having a clue what the poster was
on about.

it out I suppose, but why should the reader have to? The rest of the
language contributed to me know quite having a clue what the poster was
on about.

Have you ever looked at the selection of travel guides in a shop? It's
inevitably overwhelmed by Lonely Planet and Rough Guide. Did you
really think he was talking about ye olde vinyl?

Well, Lonely Planet has far more guidebooks published than say, Fodors.
Lonely Planet makes it a company policy to cover the entire world,
even though a lot of their guidebooks don't sell enough to be
profitable.

...well there is a distinct lack of hotel accomodation, so I took a
boat. Just turned up at the dock and asked for a discount.

They can't sell very many of "Bangladesh", "East Timor", "Georgia
Armenia Azerbaijan" or "Madagascar & Comoros" either!
