I just want to recommend Seillans, a beautiful village in Provence,
which was the home of the painter/sculptor Max Ernst. It is an area of
great natural beauty (flowers everywhere in the springtime - I love the
sunflowers!) and a great starting point for Provence excursions. If you
have a week in Provence, a great and private place to stay too is the
villa for rent, Chez Tove en Seillans. They have a web site at
http://www.cheztove.com. It's a great retreat for a couple or family.
This area of France is a perfect getaway from the stress of everyday
life.
