£15 a day is a pretty good deal. Maybe you could do better by shopping
around
(Check that it's for unlimited mileage though)

Hi there
I've never hired a car before and need one for 4 days from Stansted and
return. I am a UK resident.
They quoted me £59.84 for a Ford Fiesta 1.25Ltrs including tax, location
service charge, vehicle licensing fee and road tax,CDW, theft protection.
Seems a pretty good deal to me but am I missing some hidden charge other
than perhaps a tank of petrol.
Thanks for your help or perhaps you know cheaper?

The only thing I can think of, though it's not a charge s such, is the
amount of excess you may have to pay in case of damage to or theft of the
car. It could run to several hundred £££'s. Sometimes you can reduce it by
paying a supplement, often called 'super' CDW, which could be around £5-7 a
day. Otherwise they will either demand the amount of excess as deposit, or
reserve it on your credit card when picking up the car.

I need to hire a car one way Edinburgh to Oxford for ten days in July.
Who are you using - the quote sounds OK, but I second the comment on
milage allowances. Anyone else with suggestions for 1-way rentals?
Cheers - Alan

That's the only draw back on further investigation. A charge of £500 to £750
excess if car is damaged.
Mark
