Default Travelling to Europe

If I was planning on travelling in / to Europe, would I be wasting my time
asking for any help / advice in this newsgroup?

Or would I be better off discussing George Bush's recent election victory -
or whether pizzas outsell hamburgers?

Regards
Gerry

I've gotten helpful advice here when I asked.

Well, you got them there. Let's see, how
did that joke go, "So, Sen. John Kerry walked
into a bar. The bartender asked him, 'Why the
long face?'"

I advice you to go in Ireland, because it's a non-smoking country

Yes, I'm sure you're right - but we will probably have to wait a few more
days / weeks yet before the smoke clears.
Such a shame that this newsgroup has had so much nonsense posted in it over
the past few weeks.
But then again, I suppose it's not the only newsgroup that's been
"Bush-wacked".

Gerry, please notice that most of the political stuff is cross-posted to
about six other groups. Once a message gets cross-posted, responses
multiply like maggots.

There are still a lot of people on the group who will gladly share their
experiences.

The off-topic threads come and go. If you ask a serious question
about travel then people usually will try to help; at least I will,
anyway.

I began killing the political threads the minute they appeared and now
I don't see them anymore. It's the only way.

How come that you are still posting to just about all of them?

Do you want to wait for posting questions in this group or do you want
to wait with travelling to Europe?

Forget the Bush-stuff if you want to travel to Europe. Bush's politic
isn't welcome in Europe but I am sure you are.

By all means ask for as much help as you like planing your visit.

When you get here, we'll be delighted to discuss elections, pizzas and
hamburgers face to face.
