Women should not be scared to walk alone

A grotesque picture of life on the streets of London emerges from our
report today which reveals that, on average, a woman is gang-raped in
the capital every day. These rapes are not committed by "sick" loners
who might ultimately be treated for their psychological illness, but
by predatory gangs of feral youngsters. Some victims are randomly
selected, while others are known to some of the gang and singled out
for their ordeal. Two thirds of the rapists have previous convictions
for street crime, suggesting that a hard-core of young men now regard
rape as just another experience in a life-long criminal career.

Scotland Yard has done nothing to publicise these statistics, which
were uncovered by our reporter scrutinising the Metropolitan Police
Authority website. Officers might fear they will be labelled racist
for highlighting a crime wave disproportionately carried out by black
and Asian youths. But the racial aspect to this story is a red
herring: all residents of London, and the country as a whole, should
be loudly indignant.

These statistics cast light upon a nihilistic, amoral street culture
in which women are regarded by some young men as no more than sexual
prey. Last year, a woman alleged she was raped by a group of
Premiership footballers. The case was dropped, but only after
attendant publicity brought to light the apparently widespread
practice of "roasting", whereby a girl is passed between a group of
rich young footballers for sexual gratification. This predatory
attitude towards women is not confined to an underclass, but is
apparently shared by some of the most affluent and respected young men
in the country.

If our report highlights a crisis in moral values, it also points to
an inexcusable failure of policing. It would be inconceivable that a
woman could be gang-raped each day in a city that was properly
policed, where beat officers were known to the residents of housing
estates, and where local people would confide freely to authorities
about the violent degradation of girls and women.

More police may be needed in London, but we also need more intelligent
deployment of the manpower to hand. The Metropolitan Police this week
began a lengthy investigation into the incoherent writings of a
second-rate daytime talk show host to see if he should be prosecuted
for inflaming feelings towards Arabs. How decadent we have become to
see this as a priority when young women are liable to random attack
while walking the streets of London.

Clockwork Orange or Orwell's 1984 would be a sunnier version of
today's England. At least both films did not have IslamoFacists gang
raping women as a form of "conversion." Alec and his gang in
Clockwork were not about to blow up Big Ben or crash an airliner into
the House of Commons (which might wake some people up or get rid of
vermin destroying the UK) like the IslamoFascists have been planning.

Please elaborate on these 350,000 pound dwellings and who gets them
and why. Seems an outrage.

You are asking someone who lives in New Zealand for information
about Britain ?

For the record there's a reception centre close by for asylum
seekers - its a disused army barracks built in WW2

Abdul Hamza is in the nick as are the Afghani hijackers.

I dont think you can market a prison cell in Wandsworth
