Travel between Forli airport and Florence

Hi,
Could I ask the group please for opinions on the best way to make the
journey between Forli airport and Florence? We are going late July and
chose that connection sinply because it was over 200UKP cheaper than
all the other options! I understand that there is either the Autostrada
option - going via Bologna toll all the way or a smaller road the SS67.
Having been to Italy a number of times before I am wary of the road
conditions for one thing but it may also be safer on the main (toll)
roads perhaps?
Any opinions welcome.
Thanks

Going on the Autostrada seems an awful long way to go for a short cut, it is
almost twice as far. The SS 67 is a fairly reasonable road except for a few
squiggles as it climbs the 'Alpe di San Benedetto' near the 'Passo del
Muraglione'. Here is a link to a site with some pictures of the road at the
Pass. It is quite a scenic run so I believe you should enjoy it.

www.viamichelin.it is the webpage for yr itineraries.-
there are many local options to go to Florence.
But I would rather go back to Bologna and take the toll road Bologna
Firenze.-
let us say..
45 minutes from Forli to Bologna
about 60 minutes from Bologna to Firenze
( depending of course on traffic conditions )
