Train stations in Brussels - questions

I will be going from Amsterdam to Paris by train and want to stop for a
few hours in Brussels, so there are a few questions that I have. I
think the train from Amsterdam arrives at Midi Station, but I will need
to go to Central station to get to downtown. How do I do that? Is it
relatively easy? And the most important question - are there luggage
lockers or storage places where I can leave my luggage and go
sightseeing. I guess the answer to this question will determine whether
I will stop in Brussels as there is no way I can do anthing without
leaving my suitcase somewhere at the station.
Thanks in advance for your answers!

Perfectly easy!
If you travel on Thalys from Amsterdam to Brussels: When your Thalys
arrives in Brussels south, (a few minutes after passing through Brussels
Central), get downstairs from the platform, leave your luggage in the
locks, and enter the main concourse hall on your right. Take any train
heading North, in the opposite direction - there are some every 2
minutes or so, given the numerous departures from Brussels-Zuid. If you
hesitate, just ask a member of staff. You don't need a connecting
ticket, since your Thalys ticket includes the Brussels transfer (and
it's very unlikely that you see the guard in the 2-minute trip).
If you travel on a standard "Benelux ICB" train from Amsterdam to
Brussels: they call at Brussels central before calling at Brussels-South
:-)
But facilities in Brussels Central are poor, it is undergoing works and
maybe the luggage locks are closed. Better check on

Remember that almost everything in Blegium has two names Brussels South
station will be identified as Brussel Zuid or Bruxelles Midi.
