Greetings. I would be grateful if anyone could offer any suggestions
on finding a tourist apartment in the Netherlands. Need to be there
for 3 weeks or so and would prefer to avoid hotels for that period of
time. I have of course done extensive searching on line with poor
results (things either booked or insanely expensive, etc.). In
particular, suggestions of particular places to stay (in Amsterdam,
Haarlem, Leiden, or anywhere in the Randstand area)...also welcome
would be any hints of places that might be less expensive, i.e. towns
to search in...I had hoped prices in Leiden or Haarlem might better
than Amsterdam, but no luck so far...also potentially interested in
southern Netherlands, e.g. Breda.
Any help sincerely appreciated.

Amy,
A friend of mine has a B&B on the west side of Haarlem. The web page
with all the info is at
http://www.enjoy-europe.com/b&bpaula.htm
Her page is on my web site and gets plenty of inquiries. I have no idea
about availabilities for particular dates so you would need to specify
that and send an email, if you are interested after looking at the
information on the web page.

Amy - There is a tour agency called "Untours" that places people in
apartments or houses in for several weeks, the idea being to live like a
local. I think it's www.untours.com Maybe they can help you out.
