Thoughts on Barcelona, Andorra and Ibiza at Christmas ...

We are thinking of booking the following trip for a week or 10 days
after CHristmas this year: Fly into Barcelona, hit Andorra for a day
-- just out of curioisity -- and then a couple days in Ibiza or
Majorca. What would the weather be like at this time of year? Crowds?
Stuff open? Distances? Is it an interesting time of year to go to
these places?

If shopping is your goal, then Andorra for a day is probably okay. If you
ski, then a couple of days in Andorra would be preferable. Barcelona to
Andorra is about 2.5 to 3 hours driving time.

Barcelona: good idea, plenty of things to do, beautiful city.
Andorra: a waste of time, but if you must... you can take a bus for a
day (means you're leaving in the night and coming back te following
night- it's quite a drive) - may be fun if you want to go skiing, it
will be busy out there in the mountains just after Xmas.
Ibiza is 'closed' in the winter. empty.
Majorca has some villages that also resemble ghost towns in winter,
but Palma is always busy. And there's a beautiful mountainrange, and
everything is within an hour driving.
The weather was very good this year (ehh- last christmas)- sunny, a
bit windy but if you've got bad luck it can rain as well. And it
certainly did in January!
Temperatures- can vary a lot. We've had snow on the mountains (ok just
a little) in Majorca), but also nice days to sit out on a terrace.
