Strike in Paris

Hello,
I'm planning to travel around France in September. The itinerary has
to be tight, because only one week was allowed. I want to visit as
many places as possible, but I'm afraid of strike. Should I give up
going around the country and do a few large cities such as Paris or
Lyon for several days?

There is no way to know this far in advance what strikes will be in
progress during your visit.

The French are always cranky, but more so after they
return from their month long August vacation. So
strikes will certainly occur in Spetember.

Unless by "visit" you mean simply "travel through" a week is not NEARLY
enough to visit more than one or two places - not if you expect to see
anything you presumably came to see!
