It's not clear, that's for sure. Usually, it would count a day,
but not necessarily. But the way the flexipasses work, like the
Scanrailpass, YOU enter the date of travel, and should your pass
be checked you are in trouble if you haven't. But no one on the
Silja ferry is going to check your pass, so any checking would
have to be done when the ticket is issued or checked for
boarding. That means Silja should know the answer, and you can
email them the question.

But half fare on the ship is really a rather minor savings, since
it only covers the basic fare and you MUST book a cabin, whihc is
not cheap.

I hold Scanrail Flexipass from Stockholm to Helsinki by Silja Line. Who know
the fare is free or half and the railpass will count one day or not?
