Thanks. It look like Stockholm weather is same as in New York. May bit
dark so I may miss some of LAPP in thier costume.

adress. I'm quite sure you'll get an answer. Anyway Santa seem to have

But the name "Tomteboda" is faked! At the location of present-day
Tomteboda there was a mideaval village named "Bolstomta" (and
swedish-speakers will realize that the "tomta" here has nothing to do
with "tomten"). The name was changed in late 19th century when the
syllables were swapped around - either by mistake or in a sneaky
attempt to be able to claim Bolstomta as the home of Santa Claus!

It appears you live in a somewhat different Stockholm than me. :-)
This place is dark, wet and/or snowy and terrible in most ways from
November to March. In the winter, I curse the country, its people and
the stone age ancestors who chose to move from reasonably inhabitable
central Europe to this terrible place. I'll admit it is beautiful in
summer and still nice in early autumn, but Stockholm in winter (save
for the weeks just before Christmas) is not the place to be.

It can definitely be both snowy and -10C (20F) in December although it
typically hovers around freezing with either rain or wet snow that
does terrible things to your shoes. Throw in patches of ice to slip
on... Sure, it is warmer in the middle of the day but the days are
short. The city streets are usually less windy and a tad warmer than
the suburbs. Only by 1C or so, but nevertheless noticeable.

Since you agree with the weather records and the guidebooks that the
weather will likely be around freezing and perhaps a little colder you
are recommending that the OP visit. The concern was about temperatures
of -15F or -25C.
