Spanish Medical cream- translation needed
Hi
Does anyone know what Batmen prednicarbato crema would be used for. ?
It contains Octildodecanol, parafina, perliquida, alcohol estearilico,
alcohol certiico, alcohol miristilico, monoestearato de sorbitano etc etc
My mother can't remember what she bought it for.
I've tried google search and it appears to be for psoriasis amongst other
things, could my mother have purchased it for dry, cracked skin on heels of
feet??
Thanks
Jan

It's a topical steroid ... for steroid-responsive dermatoses like
psoriasis, eczema, etc,
Doubt it would be sold for cracked skin ... it's for inflammatory or
allergic skin conditions.

Just on general principals, if I can't remember what a
medication was for, I discard it! (In that case, it's most
probably past its "use by" date, anyway.)

Re: Spanish Medical cream- translation needed
I bought some creams in Germany.
What I did was - go to google search for and go to the company's
website.
now copy the link.
Go to translate.google.com , select your language and paste the link (
watch for double http:// since it is expecting only the www... part)
SOME of the detailed medical terms may not translate well, but it worked
well enough for me to know when to use/not use it with other
medications.
If all your looking for it " what does this do" I think it'll translate
that for you.

At a guess the "predni-" bit means it contains prednisone or (more
likely) prednisolone, which are fairly powerful anti-inflammatory
steroids. But you don't mention that in your list - the ingredients
you do mention are those of an inert cream, which itself might be
used as an emollient but wouldn't do a lot for psoriasis.
Unless you quote the COMPLETE text on the label, EXACTLY as written,
nobody can help.
