Seeking To Buy Copy of Microsoft AutoRoute or Equivalent in U.S.
Hello,
I'm visiting London from May 15th to May 22nd, and wish to plot my
destinations on maps that I can print out. But Microsoft Autoroute is
not sold in the U.S., and I have not been able to find any mapping
program that contains a street map of London.
Nor have I had any luck finding something in the UK to buy it and ship
it to me.
I would like to purchase a copy of Autoroute, or a similar program,
whether used or new, in time for me to print some maps for my trip.

You can get maps of the Underground here:

Are you planning to DRIVE around London? It's so much easier and more
pleasant to take either the big double-decker busses or the Tube. I planned
where I wanted to go using these maps...
I realize it's not the same kind of "turn left at the second light" kind of
instructions you can get with an autoroute program, but you won't have to
carry as much stuff with you. If you rent a car, they'll give you a map...
Or you can get one at any tobacconist. Use the web to figure out how far
distances out of London are.

Are you planning to DRIVE around London? It's so much easier and more

Try www.streetmap.co.uk - very good mapping of pretty much all of Great
Britain and certainly all of London.

Or try www.theaa.com with their route-finding service. Gives you a detailed
itinerary, but maps aren't quite as detailed as the ones with MS Autoroute,
but perfectly adequate for navigational purposes.

Or try www.theaa.com with their route-finding service. Gives you a detailed
itinerary, but maps aren't quite as detailed as the ones with MS Autoroute,
but perfectly adequate for navigational purposes.

www.multimap.com will do route-mapping with detailed maps for the start and
end points. You can print the maps and route "list" and bring them along.
