Thats definately NOT true - I have taken many weekend trips with Ryanair,
flying out on Saturday morning and back Sunday evening and had plenty of
time in my destination. I wouldn't pay full price to do that but with
Ryanair flights for about 40GBP return its hard to find a reason not to.
(and often the little town they fly to is more interesting than the big city
nearby).

For me, I didn't want £1 flights, but the better low cost lines
went under because the majority buy on price only, not quality.
I don't see why he cant be more honest about destinations, "let
the buyer beware" isn't my idea of good service.

The point I was trying to make was that I've always been aware of the
'funnies' which always seemed to be fairly obvious to me. If you see
'Barcelona (Gerona)' you check!
I've got no axe to grind for Ryanair and - re the other post - I wouldn't
use them for comfort, ease or efficiency (although, frankly, for shortish
flights, I've never had any problem in those directions, either). Maybe I've
just been very fortunate!
But they're what's on the tin and would anyone rather that they were not
available in the first place?

Miss L Toe,
For most trips it is true but I'm glad Ryan works for you and your
particular travel patterns. Try flying from Frankfurt to Stockholm and most
other non-UK routes.

Is that a problem ? Ryanair have two daily flights in each direction
between Frankfurt-Hahn airport and Stockholm-Skavsta airport. Yes,we know
both are on some distance from respectively cities. F-Hahn being a 1:45
bustrip and Skavsta a 1h trip from the city cores.
Belgium,France and Italy are other nonUK destinations from Stockholm.
I've tried them to Charleroi and from Stansted and was satisfied with
service.
Especially I do appreciate the possibility to fly one-way at a low price.
O.w Ryan to Charleroi was 257SEK to be compared with SAS to Brussels being
an astonishing 8150SEK.
Ryanair faced some problems in Sweden as they originally didn't comply with
market rules (advertised prices must be included tax and fees) but changed
their minds.
So were some problems claiming refunds for lost luggage but I've not seen
any complaints recently nor heard about anyone not being able to find the
right airport.

I heard this idea before but I don't believe it.
At my local airport the connecting bus is run by a private company
and rarely leaves with more than 10 passengers, I doubt it covers its
own running costs without anything left for Molly.
As to the car park, the airport charge RA almost nothing for their
services and the only way that they can be making any money is if
they keep the car park fees for themselves.

To Charing Cross? I'd much prefer the Picadilly Line to Piccadilly
Circus and changing there, rather than taking the Heathrow Expensive to
Paddington.
However, Frankfurt isn't London, and it's a fast and cheap train trip
from FRA to the centre of that city.

I mentioned Charing Cross as that's the point distances are traditionally
measured 'from London'.
If one's definition of London is South Ken, then Heathrow is even nearer.

Yes, I know- I'm just pointing out (because it's worth pointing out,
given the outrageous price of the HeX) that the HeX is only really a
faster alternative to people enroute to Paddington or immediate
environs. Even queuing for a Taxi there for a 'quick' onward journey can
take ages depending on the time of day.

Since I live at West Drayton, close enough to H'row to watch the planes
taking off from my window (I watch 'em from my window, they don't take off
from it!), I don't use central London to H'row connections, unless I find
Picadilly Line and bus from the airport a better option than train from
Paddington to West Drayton.
I did, however, once try Heathrow Expensive (when they offered a half-price
deal) to see what time asre like - and basically I found no significant time
difference between Oxford Circus and H'row by Bakerloo Line and HeX and by
Bakerloo and Piccadilly lines.
In my view HeX is not worth the much higher fare for any time saving to most
parts of central London.

Did you try the comparison hauling a couple of pieces of luggage?
The advantage isn't just time saving. Now the comparison to a car
service, even slower but more convenient, goes in the other direction.
