Rome -> Florence -> Venice -> Trieste
Folks,
I'm planning a trip from the UK to Italy this April.
Once in Italy I would like to go from Rome via Florence
via Venice to Trieste.
I would appreciate if someone could give me some
advice and recommendation.
What would be a good (and inexpensive) way?
By train or by coach?
I've heard that it's also possible to take the boat from
Venice to Trieste.
Many thanks,
Flo

the best way from town centre to town centre is the train
it should also be the cheapest way.

Plus, you can certainly plan to make very interesting stopovers on the
way, unless you have an excessive amount of.lugguage to shovel around.

As already advised, certainly the train...from Rome to Florence it's
only 1 our and a half and there are trains almost every half-hour
throughout the day
Florence to Venice is a nearly 3-hour trip with trains every 2 hours
Venice to Trieste is 1.5 to 2 hours and there are hourly trains or so
There is also a direct train from Rome to Trieste, touching all the
stations mentioned: leaves rome at 16.52, arrive in Florence at 18.29,
in Venice Santa Lucia (central station) at 21.28 and in Trieste at
23.34
