Resorts near to Geneva Airport

My parents want to are planning a three-night trip in September.
They've got flights to Geneva Airport and are looking for some advice
for a resort/hotel with the following criteria:
- somewhere historic/pretty on Lake Geneva (not Geneva itself)
- the hotel must be very central(because my Dad is partially disabled
and can't walk very far), preferably have lake views and cost approx.
£100 per room per night
- the journey from Geneva Airport needs to be very easy (again, cos of
my Dad's mobility issues).
They were thinking of Montreaux or Lausanne. Are these easy to get to
from the airport? I know they both have direct train services, but
would it be an easy journey for my Dad (i.e. not far from him to
walk?)
Any advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks, Cathy

The Suisse et Majestic in Montreux is directly across the street from the
rail station. Direct train from Geneva Airport. Great views down the lake
and Montreux below. Elevator to lake level.

The Hotel Suisse et Majestic in Montreux is opposite the railway station
and the hotel front faces on to Lake Geneva. There are frequent direct
trains from Geneva Airport. It is a good hotel. It also has its own
private lift/elevator to the lakefront gardens. Look at

From the arrivals to the railway station in Geneva is a short walk
(about a 100 m). Airline terminal and railway station are well
integrated and you don't even have to go outside.
