is this hotel within a 10-15 minute walk from Pantheon and Piazza
Navona area?
www.residenzacellini.it
I am not a fast walker due to knee replacement but we would like to
walk there in the evenings if possible and on a map the distance looks
quite great...perhaps the blocks are short and the walk is not that
long.
The hotel is near Termini Station and Republicca Metro stop...
any help appreciated...does anyone know any first hand knowledge about
Hotel Due Torri?
thanks

It would be a good walk for me. For someone with a bad knee, it might
not be too comfortable. But I wouldn't let the relative distance put you
off what looks like a pretty well-placed hotel. There are plenty of
buses that will cover the distance in a few minutes.
Otherwise, you might want to look for a hotel in the Campo di Fiori
area, just a block or two from Piazza Navona.

Navona's a fair walk from Termini - not impossible - maybe a 20/30 minute
easy pace from memory?

I'm a slow walker also due to a bum knee. When on vacation I wear an
over the counter knee brace so our walking speeds are probably the same.
To give you an idea on our time/distance on your map measure the
distance from the front door of Termini to the entrance of the Roman
Forum at the bottom of Via Cavour.
That took me exactly 20mins to cover (crossing lights, crowded
sidewalks, etc), I timed it
.
Your hotel is just 1 block over from Via Nazionale which is a major bus
route from Termini to the sites.
Also you could probably do 2 taxi trips for ?15 from your hotel to
the sites and back.
And for under ?20 from hotel to site A to site B and back to hotel.
Not too bad considering 2 people with 2 R/T metro/bus tickets is ?4
or 2 daypasses for ?8.

As a general tool, the mapping site www.mappy.com will give you pedestrian
direction, distances and time.
