Renting an old volvo in scandinavia

Hi everyone!
I'm planning a little journey in Scandinavia next summer (3 weeks).
Usually I like to travel by train and/or bus, but I've heard that for
the scandinavian countries, it is best to do it by car. I don't own a
car so I would need to rent one there.
I'd like to rent an old car, not one of these shiny ones you get at Herz
and such. Even RentAWreck offers pretty much the same thing as the big
rental companies. What I'd like would be an old '70s or '80s volvo (or
similar).
I'm pretty sure there must be possibilities of renting such cars in
local garages. But this is difficult to plan at home (such offers are
not likely to be on internet).
Does anyone have an idea where I may find such a deal? I'll probably
start my journey in Malmö (and end it there as well), but it can be
another place if needed.
Thank your for your help!
Take care,
Thomas

I think the cost of servicing the car make up a larger share of the
cost than the interest etc. on the car itself. Thus, for a company to
offer old cars doesn't make much financial sense. Even RentAWreck offer
new cars, at least here in Stockholm.
Old cars rust away up here in Sweden. Lots of snow and water combined
with salt and sand is no good for a car. 1970's cars are only found
outside the three cities where people are used to fixing broken things.
(And a 1970's car will be broken most of the time :) )

Assuming you prefer to go by bus train and bus I can't see any reason why
not do so in the Scandinavian countries (and personally I've survived
perfectly for 58y in Sweden without a car)
The Scanrail
http://www.scanrail.com/
valid for 4 Nordic countries is possibly one of the best offers for visitors
from outside.
Buy it outside Nordic and it's valid in all countries, buy it locally in one
of the countries and it's valid for 3 days in the country where it's bought
and remaining days in the other countries.
Assuming you're from Switzerland there's also Interrail and EuroDomino
available.
