Hi,
Next week I'm flying with a 12 hours (5 AM to 5 PM) stop over at Frankfurt
airport.
As I won't sleep the night before either, I'm looking for a place to take a
shower and short sleep for the day. Naturally, I won't have a car.

I'd appreciate recommendation for airport (or immediate vicinity) hotel or
zimmer solutions (if possible including time to airport and approx cost).

You could e.g. try this one:

It's very close to the airport and also provides a free shuttle service
to the airport AFAIK.

Isn't there a hotel *at the airport,* with special day rates?

The Intercity hotel is *at* the airport:
