The hand grenade attacks, riots, and landmines were behind
us. After two months of police work in Kosovo, my partner and I needed
a vacation. In a few minutes we were going to be dropped off at the
Macedonian border, rent a car in Skopie, and drive to Athens. Sounds
easy huh? Yeah, that's what we thought too.
