Default Prices in Monaco

Hi there,

Aside from restaurants and the like, are prices in Monaco cheaper than in
nearby France or Italy? I mean, prices at grocery stores, gas, tobacco,
etc.

Thanks in advance.

Most Monegasques do their weekly shopping at a hypermarket in France. That
says it all.

I know that you've had an answer, but I'm struggling to think
why you should think that they might be.

A cup of coffee at the Hotel de Paris should answer that question for you.

He said "aside from restaurants and the like"
I guess he wants to know if Monaco is a tax-free zone as Andorra and other
regions but as Alec answered I guess the answer is no. AFAIK Monaco is
free from income-tax (french citizens excluded) but other taxes applies.

Everything is more expensive than France... except for income tax.
