Prague Hotel Help

Don't know about these but my mom and I stayed at U Tri Pstrosu (sp?) five
years ago and LOVED it. Excellent location - literally right next to the
Charles Bridge.
I am staying in prague for 3-4 days. I have heard some good things
about the intercontinental with regards to the location(heart of
prague). Many of the travel agents I have spoken with use the
radisson and the palace as their deluxe choices, but I have no idea
where these hotels are in the city. Can anyone tell me if the
location of these 2 hotels is good? are they far away from the
action?
Thanks for the advice.

They are both on streets crossing Wenceslas Square, where "the action"
is. Radisson is the more modern and more expensive one, Palace is more
traditional, old world luxury hotel. They are both 5 star establishments.

Try the Hotel Julian, one block away from the river.
The front desk workers have an apartment on the fourth floor of the building
next door, which they rent for what was equal to $55 USD a couple of years
ago.
The Hotel Julian looked reasonable as well (Its a Rick Steves
recommendation), but twice I have stayed in that apartment.
