There you have it: frustration. Proof that Macs are superior.

I've always hated MACs too. They're more expensive for starters, and
generally have less computing power. But my first gut instinct when I
saw one was that I hated this thing. The ad slogan then was, "You
already know how to use it." My retort was, "...because it doesn't do
much of anything." In those days, PCs ran DOS and didn't have any sort
of GUI. I also have never much cared for the mouse. Give me a bunch of
Alt-Ctrl-Shift shortcuts instead of a sub-sub-sub-sub menu which
brings up a dialog and then maybe doesn't even offer the command you
wanted.
I also liked Unix a lot, but now I'm sort of constrained to use a PC
for my work because everybody I work with does. However, I think I
would draw the line at a MAC. At least with a PC, I can find some hack
to do almost anything I might want to do.

That slogan was NOT in existence w/ PCs ran DOS.
Macs do NOT have less computing power than PCs, they have more.

I agree with you on the above. I always find that my computer work is
faster, and more efficient, whenever I can cut down on mouse (or
trackpad) usage. Even when doing music typesetting, which is obviously
very graphically oriented, I find it more comfortable whenever possible
to use keyboard commands.

PCs have more computing power. Look at any of the latest machines
available and you will see that in numbers.

Odd. I have found a combination of the two to be ideal for me. One
move and click equals a two key combo.
You know what my number one wish is? A keyboard with four simple
buttons down the left hand side: Cut, Copy, Paste, Undo. Give me this
on a Mac, and I might just convert.
(if something like this exists in PC land, please tell me!)

If it really has to be one button, you could just remap F1-4 I suppose,
or programming the mouse to do it might be an option, though that puts
it all into one hand.

It depends on which models of Macs and PCs you are comparing..

Thanks Bill, but that's well known.

The function keys are awkwardly located at the top of the keyboard
though, and I don't like more than two buttons and a wheel on my
mouse, as it gets to easy to click the wrong thing.
I look at some keyboards where they have extra buttons for checking
email and opening browser windows, but can't understand why something
like this hasn't been done yet. I think it's a great idea.
