Wow. This person asked a simple question and got frustrated by a couple
BS answers. But some losers are toughguys behind the keyboard, now
aren't they? You obviously have real problems.

I'll try and give you a sensible, helpful answer. Any country's officials
can deny anyone except their own citizens entry at any time, for any reason.
In the current climate, worn ID that even looks like it *might* have been
tampered with could cause problems. I'd get it renewed now, and save any
hassle - provided you're sure you'll get the new one in time (I have no idea
what the processing times are). HTH

And they can give their own citizens a pretty hard time for a
while.

How do they know it's one of their own citizens if they don't trust the
passport, because it looks like it's been tampered with?

dont be so f****** thick --- 30 minutes answering questions about your past
history and a few phone calls would certainly prove if you come from where
you claim

It's simpler to refuse him entry.

Possibly not so much problem if you've managed to reach home, after all
where else should they send you ?
But it's not unlikely that you'll be denied the flight home and asked to
come back with a better documentation.
A passport can be damaged while travelling and create problem, but to travel
out with a damaged passport is just stupid.
