Default Paris Metro

I will be visiting Paris in March for a few days. There will be four
of us coming from Frankfurt, Germany. We would like to park outside
of Paris and leave our car there for the duration of our visit. We
would then catch the metro or other public transportation in to Paris.
I contacted the Metro via e-mail and they said they couldn't help
with a place to park and ride. Does anyone out there have any
experience with this. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Any good map of Paris will show the location of "parkings". Assuming you're
coming into Paris on the A3 from Rheims, you will find Parc de Stationnement
de la Porte de Bagnolet (26 av Gén de Gaulle, Bagnolet, tel. 01 43 63 19
99)
at the interchange from the A3 to the Peripherique. The Gallieni métro
station is right there, but somebody truly familiar with the area can give
you a better idea how long a walk it might be from the actual parking area
to the station, or if there is a drop off. However, the RATP station map
shows them to be very close:

bonjour
your best chance would probably be to park in one of the airports and
then take trains or public transportation from there
have a nice day

Sorry no : airport parking is expensive, transportation is not the best,
expensive and long !
Don't do that, you'll waste time and money.

I suppose what is "expensive" is a matter of degree, but the RER (transit)
from Paris CDG airport to the heart of Paris is under 10 euros.

How much is parking? I don't know, but the information almost certainly can
be found online at the CDG airport website.

And you won't waste any time. The train into town is fast and non-stop.

Yes, there are non-stop trains (RER), but not all.

I agree with you,
the RER from CDG is not non-stop and it is the worst idea to park in CDG (
more expensive than Paris-center ! )

You can park free on commercial centers near of Paris ( Créteil, Ivry...)
or let your car in a free street inside Paris :
( rue du Chevaleret - rue Jean Antoine de Baif ) near Meteor the new metro.

I just have to post my experience...please excuse me.
The RER is not direct, and it doesn't always connect to Chatelet Les Halles
(at least not the one I took ...) even though it's on line B. I had to
change at Gare Du Nord. Imagine the horrors...Alone, jet lag, 1st time in
Paris and in the middle of the morning rush hour. But I was lucky, 2 kind
Parisians came to my aid. I think I do look like a lost tourist at that
time... they ask if I needed help. (Ok, not all french are rude and
obnoxious) They certainly made a difference to my trip. Will I visit
Paris again? Yes. Will i do the RER from airport again? NOT in a millon
years :-)

I thought so because i read it all the the time here.. that they are rude
or something. Anyways, i don't mean to be rude, so please don't take it
personally. I'm just writing my thoughts...
