Default Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport - Where to meet?

My wife will be flying KLM from Amsterdam to CDG and my elderly
mother-in-law will be flying Air France from Chicago, on different
days. Neither of them are famaliar with CDG.

Can someone tell me:

Where is the easiest place for someone to meet my wife coming from AMS
on KLM in terminal 1?

Where is the easiest place from someone to meet my mother-in-law coming
from ORD on Air France in terminal 2?

I need something very easy for my mother-in-law, a not very seasoned
traveler arriving by herself.

Thank you very much.

It will be quite easy to set up a meeting point at T1 as there is
only one exit for arriving passengers. But are you sure the KLM flight
is at T1?. KLM and Air France are merging so the KLM flights might
have moved in with AF at terminal 2.
And what terminal at T2 will the ORD flight arrrive at ?

I doubt KLM still flies to Terminal one these days. Sinced they merged
with Air France it's likely they fly to Terminal 2F (in theory terminal
for Schengen flights). The best is to arrive 30 minutes in advance and
wait in front of the arrival gate.

Air France US flights generally arrive at 2C. In A, B, C and D
terminals, there are not different levels for departure and arrivals,
but a single arrival gate in the middle of the terminal, just a few
meters away from the corresponding "street" entrance.

Just have the person waiting her in front of the arrival gate. If your
mother-in-law has to wait, it's best to ask her to wait on the seat rows
just facing the arrival gate, and for the person to meet her there?

I am not sure about the arriving flights and I just pulled the terminal
information from the CDG website. Really, I am more concerned about
the KLM flight than anything else.

Why don't you phone KLM and ask them?

Thats right, KLM is using 2F now:

"KLM flights have been transferred from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2F at
Paris-CDG, thus joining up with Air France and SkyTeam partners."

There is no easy answer. The place is a monument to poor planning and
nonexistent organization. Good luck!

Having arrived on an intercontinental flight and having 6 hours to
wait for a connection, I once spent several hours searching for the
CdeG showers that were publicised in an Air France glossy inflight
magazine. I eventually found them and they were locked. I was told
they were locked because there was no demand for them.
A standard excuse in many places.
