Bercy has

- overnight trains for Italy,
- trains for Burgundy
- no suburban trains.

If your map goes out to the south/southeast of the Gare de Lyon, follow the
tracks out of that station. When you get down to the point where the Pont de
Bercy crosses the Seine to connect the Blvd. de Bercy with the Left Bank,
you should find the (large) Palace Omnisports, and next to it, with a couple
of train tracks, the (small) Gare de Bercy.

It's a small station (yes, it was once for suburban trains, and it will
certainly not win any architectural awards) whose principal use is to
relieve congestion from the Gare de Lyon. There are minimal facilities
there, one main waiting room, and nothing particularly "identifiable." Even
the SNCF site,
http://www.voyages-sncf.com/info_res...aris_Bercy.htm ,
which presumably would "talk up" the station, doesn't show much in the way
of services - convenience store and a travel agent.

Not suburban, it was built as a station for trains carrying
automobiles with passengers.

I like the idea of waiting at the end of the track - that way we cant
miss. However, can a non-ticket holder (me) have access to that point?
Just want to make sure that my (aged) family members dont have any
confusion whatsoever about the rendezvous point. Thanks.

You can get on the train without a ticket! (not reccomended unless you
are ready to pay a fine or find the conductor first and purchase one)
