That or all the wasserburgs in northern Germany in the Essen area.

What about Mespelbrunn, some 50 km east of Frankfurt (Main)?

Was thinking of that one also, but it has been a while since I have
been there and did not remember if that one would really be considered
to be in the middle of a lake or if the lake was in front of the
palace and then a moat was build around the building.

They must be big, to both in the north and near Essen.
